The Libertarian Party Radical Caucus was formed in 2006, both as a reaction to the Portland Massacre and as a resumption of the previous 1979-1984 Radical Caucus.  It was the first caucus with its own platform, has made countless thousands of buttons, made brochures, and threw a big party that made sure that a disgraced former presidential nominee had almost no one to speak to at a national convention.

In short, the purpose of the Radical Caucus is to keep the Libertarian Party on message.
